Song story:
This song came through in 2018 while I was sitting on the roof of our tiny house, nestled deep in a magical prairie surrounded by ancient oak trees, towering white pine, and more wildflowers than I could have imagined possible. Turkey Vulture swept in wide lazy circles overhead, and dragonflies and damselflies darted to and fro amongst the bees and other pollinators. I had just finished a day of foraging and wildcrafting with some of the most bountiful herbal allies in the area, and was reflecting on the magic of communion with the land when the land spoke back in the form of this song.
Written in 2018, recorded and released in 2025 – because good things sometimes take time.
